This is a thick, white garlic sauce that’s commonly served on schwarma. I found the recipe in a cookbook published by my husband’s grandmother’s Armenian Orthodox church. The sauce is tastiest and most authentic when made with potatoes, but white bread will also work and is often more convenient.
