This is a great base recipe for adding any extras, like chocolate chips, nuts, dried fruit, etc – it’s forgiving.
I found this recipe nearly 20 years ago in the Toronto Sun and have made it several times over the years. It makes enough for a family of three, like mine, to enjoy over several weeks, since it doesn’t require any processing and keeps well in the fridge. 4 / 5 Stars | 4 Reviews by Frank Buettner “Most folks think preparing barbeque means drenching some meat with some sauce out of a bottle while it’s cooking, and squirting some more over it just before you serve it. I’m not one of those! This sauce is the result of quite a lot of experimentation over the years, and everyone who tries it seems to agree that it’s great! The combination of the mustard and molasses give it a great sweet-tart flavor, and the bourbon adds a finishing touch you can’t get any other way!” View Complete Recipe Details and Reviews
